Dog Control Remains an Issue
We continue to have problems with dogs running loose and acting aggressively around neighbors, hikers, and others traveling through the Elkhorn. In a recent incident, a homeowner was required to shoot and kill a stray dog when it became aggressive towards his wife and pet. This action was entirely legal.
Please remember that dogs must be under control at all times, including being on a leash when off your property, and even on your property if they have a tendency to wander off. You may report uncontrolled dogs to Park County Animal Control at (719) 836-4380.
